All members of the "Green Circle Association of Bulgarian companies", which was established by the "Manager" magazine and "GLOBUL", gathered for their first meeting at the "Grand Hotel Sofia". Around 100 Bulgarian companies already participate in the association. These companies are not only committed to green ideas, but they are also implementing green practices in their business.
Тhe first meeting was to get to know each other. At an informal environment, company heads and managers of different companies were able to communicate freely with each other, to seek opportunities for cooperation and joint businesses. In addition, people from different organizations presented ongoing projects and gave information about upcoming initiatives.
Architect Diana Ilieva from "Dikanski & Partners" Studio offered a 10% off from the studio's services for all Green Circle members. The studio offers design and construction of green houses.
Apostol Dyankov promoted a new bicycle courier service - "The Green Knights", which can help reduce air pollution in the capital. The activity will be carried out by young people. The new company found its first customers among the members of the Green Circle.
The initiative "Helping people in need by recycling paper" was met with particular interest. It belongs to the King Sturge real estate consulting company and was represented by Veneta Nikolova. For every ton of paper handed over to secondary raw materials, BGN 200 will go to disadvantaged groups.
Nikolay Markov from Ernst&Young presented the green index, which the world-famous company will prepare for Bulgaria for the first time. Maria Mihaleva, lawyer at "Schoenherr in Bulgaria" talked about the changes in the legislation related to RES.
The Green Circle was created in June 2010 at a special forum. VM Finance Group is among the founders. The second forum will be in June and traditionally, it will be held outdoors.
