On June 8th, the second edition of the corporate relay race organized by the "Begach" running club and a well-known bank took place in support of the UNICEF project "The best start in life for every child" for the establishment of a network of Maternal and Child Health Centers. For the first time, NET IS SAT gathered a team to participate in the competition. There were 197 teams well-prepared teams participating in the competition. The NET IS SAT team finished in 33rd place, looking forward to improving this result next year. "Manager" ranked 37th out of 107 teams in the charity marathon.
The participants from the "Manager" team spent their hardest workday in "Sofia Business Park" by running 16 km in the charity marathon Postbank Business Run. Gergana Georgieva, Elitsa Nikolova, Krastin Dimitrov and Petar Dobrev finished the marathon in 37th place. They were self-critical and promised not to use any other transport, except bicycles, when going to work from now on. 107 teams from 63 companies participated in the competition. The winner of the Postbank Business Run 2014 was the SAP Labs team with a remarkable time of 1:01:30.12. In second place were CHAHOV LTD, and third were Manchev & Ratkov Law Co.
Each four competitors of a team had to run 4 km and pass the baton. Gergana and Elitsa are among the few ladies in the top 40 teams ranked – only 24 women out of 160 participants.
Each team had to pay an entry of BGN 200, 30% of which will be donated to the UNICEF's cause in partnership with PostBank "The best start in life for every child" for the establishment of a network of Maternal and Child Health Centers. The funds raised from the event are over BGN 9,000.
