The scholarship program "Get Ready to Succeed" was created by BCause Foundation in 2006. The program supports the education of children and youth who have lost their parents, were raised by relatives, or have grown up in specialized institutions.
The "Get Ready to Succeed" Scholarships are unique for two things:
Firstly, the funds for the scholarships are provided entirely by donations - from companies and private individuals.
Secondly, the main criterion is the results, demonstrated by the applicants. The program supports young people, not only because they have been deprived of something in life, but because they have impressive achievements and excellent results at school. In this sense, the program is also entrepreneurial.
The program is supported by numerous private donors and companies operating in Bulgaria. The scholarship award ceremony is traditionally hosted by Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". 124 excellent pupils and students will be supported with a total of BGN 230,000, collected entirely from donations. The most awarded are future doctors, lawyers and economists. For the past eight years, the program has supported 780 students with a total of over 1 000 000 BGN.
Vassil Mirtchev, Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VM Finance Group, was also a donor to the good initiative and a special guest at the "Get Ready to Succeed" Scholarship Program Ceremony.
