The largest organization for recovery and recycling "Ecopack Bulgaria AD" launched the second phase of the national information and education campaign "Architects of the Future" which aims to motivate citizens to collect waste separately. During the first stage of the campaign in October and November 2010 the Eco-pavilion visited 6 Bulgarian cities - Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Ruse, Pleven and Stara Zagora and was attended by over 50 000 people.

The campaign informs and educates citizens about the practices of separate waste collection of packaging and of their conversion process to raw materials for production. The second phase of the campaign will be held in 6 other cities – Sofia, Montana, Veliko Tarnovo, Shumen, Haskovo and Kyustendil.

For the purposes of the project, an Eco pavilion will be placed at a selected central place in each of the cities.

The Eco pavilion consists of three rooms, symbolizing the 3 types of recyclable packaging. Each room will be divided into 3 corners. At the multimedia corner educational films will be shown on big TV screens. At the second corner there will be a live installation that shows the different stages of processing waste, providing examples of different materials such as metal, plastic, paper and glass and how they turn into raw materials for the packaging production. At the third corner, there will be presented artworks made from packaging and waste - from metal, plastic, paper and glass. All items are made specifically for the campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to educate and motivate people on collecting waste separately and thereby contributing to preserving resources and protecting the environment. During the campaign, there will be Ecopack teams in every pavilion who provide information to all visitors and answer questions about the process of separate collection and recycling of waste, as well as its benefits.
