27.09.2012 Finalists of the contest "Manager of the Year" 2012 announced at a press conference

Fifth edition of "Manager of the Year" - the most prestigious competition in Bulgaria, featuring successful business leaders entered its decisive third round, after on September 27 were announced the 10 finalists. One of them will become "Manager of the Year 2012".

The final ten was announced at a press conference, which this year was held in one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Sofia - National School of Finance and Economics.

The school is the successor of the established back in 1913 Sofia Trade School. Over the years it’s students have become some of the most prominent Bulgarian economists and personalities of Bulgarian business.

"We organized the press conference here, because we want to connect business success today with the future generation," said Vassil Mirtchev, publisher of the magazine "Manager" and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VM Finance Group at the opening of the event.

"We believe that with this competition we have entered a tradition that over time will continue to improve the reputation and visibility of Bulgarian business. For these five years we have created and supported these managers, who are now already example of our economic reality. This is the mission of the contest and the magazine "Manager" as an organizer" he said.

The establishment of successful governance models in years of crisis is why at this year's edition of the contest were announced the names of the first 30 heads of companies that have achieved the best results from all 50 participants who successfully passed the second stage the race.

In the second stage, candidates receive evaluations based on a variety of financial indicators and best management practices - original methodology of "Deloitte Bulgaria" written especially for the competition.

From year to year the contest shows that Bulgarian senior managers successfully implement best management practices inherent in mature economies. For this reason, the results of the participants in the second round are very close with minor differences.

The first 30 participants in the contest manage 21,127 employees and assets for 2011 up to 28 billion lv.

Maxim Behar - CEO of M3 Communications Group.

Orlin Popov - owner and general manager of the restaurant chain Happy Bar & Grill and Happy Sushi

Sotir Nemov - director of "Commercial SE 7"

The name of the winner will be announced at a gala ceremony on October 26 with at the National Opera and Ballet.
