17.10.2011 Avendi takes up the distribution of Nestle Purina

The company expanded its portfolio with pet food.

As a result of the partnership with Nestle Bulgaria, Avendi Ltd., a company of VM Finance Group, was selected as a national distributor of Nestle Purina, pet food for specialized channel (pet shops and veterinary clinics).

Purina PetCare Company is the pet food division of Swiss-based Nestlé. It was created in consequence of the acquisition of American Ralston Purina Company in 2001 and subsequent merger with Nestlé's Friskies PetCare Company. Company’s headquarter is located in St. Louis, Missouri. Purina traces its roots back to 1894, when founder William H. Danforth began producing food for various farm animals under the name Robinson-Danforth Commission Company. With the endorsement of 'Dr Ralston', a well-known health guru, in 1898 Robinson-Danforth enters the fast-growing human cereals market with Purina Wheat and a line of whole wheat breakfast cereals.
