08.10.2012 Avendi celebrates 11 years birthday

On October 8th Avendi – a company of VM Finance Group and one of the most dynamically developing companies in Bulgaria celebrates 11 years since its establishment. The company is recognized as leader in marketing and distribution of consumer goods in the country. 

2012 brought success to Avendi in many directions.

 As a start Avendi has added a new brand to its existing children’s portfolio, already containing the brands HiPP, Bebevita and MAM,  interactive educational toys Thinkle Stars, which speak in Bulgarian.

 In January a new "Soft drinks" Division was created in the company. It took up the distribution of the leader in the production of juices Florina-Bulgaria as this way provided focus on its sales.

Later on Avendi, consulted by International Human Resources, also a company of  VM Finance Group, started its preparation for certification by Investors in People International - standard for organizational excellence, an excellent business tool designed to increase company’s performance through people. 

Around the same time Avendi became major partner of world famous brand SONY in the categories batteries and data recording media. The distribution of the brand will be carried out by newly created Non-food Division, the portfolio of which includes the products of Groupe SEB (Tefal and Krups) and 3M (Scotch Brite).

 

 After setting a precedent in 2011 by receiving for second time the grand prize "Partner of the Year" of Diageo, owner of brands of the rang of Johnnie Walker, J&B, Bushmills, Smirnoff, Baileys and etc, this year Avendi welcomed the global leader in spirits production and its partners for the annual partners conference. On the ceremony the company was awarded in two categories:

- Best consumer marketing execution - Johnnie Walker

- General Manager capability award

Besides the two awards, the team of Avendi was celebrating a truly global achievement - thanks to the 6-year persistence and hard work invested by it in the development of Bushmills in our country, Bulgaria is the first country in the world, which mark an unprecedented breaketh competition, achieving a 33.7% annual market share (by value) in the Irish whiskey category, leaving Jameson (33%) and Tullamore Dew (30.3%) behind *.

Another recognition Avendi received for its work for Jonnie Walker. The Keep Walking Project campaign was awarded for best use of social media in the category online marketing and effectiveness on Webit Bulgaria Digital Summit 2012.
