19.02.2013 Editor of "Manager" was awarded in the Johnnie Walker contest for innovative idea

Elitsa Nikolova - media editor at the magazine "Manager", published by VM Finance Group, together with journalist Maria Telbis won one of five awards for innovative ideas of Johnnie Walker. Their project is for a site, which promotes reading among children and educates them in donation. Their idea will receive from Johnnie Walker funding of EUR 10 000 lv. as the other four winning projects will get. The essence of the idea is to create a platform in which tests on a number of books and a number of charitable causes are published. When properly resolves a test, the student can select a cause to which to donate money.

Urban Art Factory, bus powered by electricity, a new vision for the facades of schools and air cycle path are the other 4 ideas that receive funding by Johnnie Walker. Nearly 630 proposals were submitted for the contest Keep Walking Bulgaria, organized by the Scotch whiskey brand. Participants were asked to share their personal ideas that would contribute to the progress of our country. That's why the motto of the initiative was "Every step of yours is a step forward for Bulgaria". Ambassador of the campaign was the most successful Bulgarian swimmer Petar Stoychev.

Three-member jury selected the finalists. It was formed by anthropologist Harlan Alexandrov, program director of "Darik" radio Konstantin Valkov and director of the festival platform of magazine "One" Asen Asenov.
