Assen Assenov

Assen Assenov has been Managing Director of BLS since 2009

Between 2002 and 2009 Assen Assenov held the position of Executive Director of Corecom Princess. Previously, from 1998, he worked as a lawyer for Princess in Bulgaria. He began his professional career as a lawyer-in-training at the Atanasov and Partners law firm. Mr. Assenov is a graduate in Law from Sofia University and has additionally completed a number of professional courses in his field.

Ventsislav Rouhchev

Ventsislav Rouhchev has been Managing Director of Transimport since 2005.

Mr. Rouhchev has 17 years of commercial and management experience in FMCG companies. He began his career at Interbrands, where he was responsible for the sale of P&G products later continued as Sales Director at Convoy and, then, as Sales Representative of Evyap International for Bulgaria. He graduated in Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia with a specialty in Radio and Television Equipment. He took a second degree in Finance from a joint program between the Bulgarian Academy of Science and University of Veliko Turnovo. Additionally, he has completed numerous trainings specialized in trade, as well as international courses.

Ivo Petrov

Chief Executive Officer of VM Finance Group and a partner in several of the Group’s companies, Ivo Petrov manages the Head Office, whose role is to provide services and to govern companies in the areas of human resources, corporate communications, legal and tax advice, risk management, finance and controlling, IT and business development. The Managing Directors of the Group’s companies work under his direct supervision.

Mr. Petrov is a graduate of the Telecommunications Faculty at the Technical University of Sofia,. He has over 15 years of senior management experience in the Group.

Dimitar Gurdjilov

Dimitar Gurdjilov is CEO to “Florina – Bulgaria” and member of the board of VM Finance Group.

He holds BA from American University in Bulgaria, then a specialization at the University of Delaware and MBA and Finance from the University of Miami. After the start of his careem at Arthur Andersen Bulgaria, Mr. Gyurdjilov continued his professional development in the world-renowned companies as Merrill Lynch (USA), JPMorgan (USA-Australia), Bedminster Capital Management LLP (USA) and NGBI Private Equity (UK).

Krassimir Punchev

Krassimir Punchev is Managing Director of New System since 2004.

Before joining the Group, he worked at Landis & Staefa and Siemens Building Technologies. He is a graduate in Industry Automation from the Technical University of Sofia.

Maxim Mayer

Maxim Mayer has been Director of Manager Magazine since 2005.

Previously, he worked as Director of Sega Daily and of Zhenata Dnes and Nash Dom magazines. He was also Editor-in-Chief of Zhenata Dnes, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Standard Daily and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Pari Daily, as well as Senior Reporter for 168 Hours Weekly. He graduated in Journalism from Sofia University and received additional training at the BBC. He trained the journalist teams at 168 Hours Press Group and covered the news on the war in former Yugoslavia in the early 1990s.

Maria Stamenkova

Maria Stamenkova has been manager of Gebr. Heinemann Bulgaria since 2005.

Mrs. Stamenkova began her professional development at the Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan Business Center in 1986 as Coordinator and Assistant to representatives of international companies with investment interest in Bulgaria. After 1992, eight years followed at Rothmans of Pall Mall Bulgaria as Marketing Manager and another four years with Imperial Tobacco as Regional Marketing Manager for Romania, Albania, Serbia and FYR Macedonia. She graduated in English philology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and completed a number of marketing courses in the UK.

Medhi Benbouguerra

Medhi Benbouguerra has been Managing Director of Menew since the end of 2009

Mr. Benbouguerra has worked for Cheque Dejeuner, a company operating in the same segment – trade in meal vouchers, where he held the positions of Commercial Director for Bulgaria and Supervisor of Commercial Directors for Spain, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2005-2006 he was Deputy Commercial Director for Romania. Mr. Benbouguerra graduated in Law and Commerce from the University ESICAD.

Nevena Tsacheva

Nevena Tsacheva has been Managing Director of IHR since early 2009.

Mrs. Tsacheva has more than 15 years of experience as a Human Resources Director in large international companies operating in different sectors - energy, industry, commerce and consulting services. Her previous experience includes: Managing Director of Hamilton People Solutions, a company specializing in strategic HR consulting, HR Director of CEZ Group Bulgaria, HR Director of Schneider Electric for the Southern Danube Region (6 countries) and HR Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Nevena Tsacheva is a member of the Institute of Certified Professionals in the field of human resources. She graduated from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK), in English Philology from Sofia University and completed a number of highly recognized international courses in the field of HR.

Rositsa Ivanova

Rositsa Ivanova has been Managing Director of ABC KinderCare Center since its creation in January 2008.

Ms. Ivanova has been working as an educationist with multinational clients since 1997. She graduated in Preschool Education from Blagoevgrad University and in International Economic Relations from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia. For more than 10 years she has been a Sofia University associated teacher, instructing university students in pre-school pedagogy in practice. Currently, Ms. Ivanova continues to enjoy a fruitful cooperation with Sofia University’s lecturers. She has completed a training course at the American Montessory Training Academy.

Hristina Vancheva

Hristina Vancheva has been Managing Director of A Team since 2008.

Mrs. Vancheva is one of the most successful producers in the Bulgarian music industry, owner of a recording studio and art director of projects in leading electronic and print media. Her portfolio includes a number of successful social and political campaigns for international clients and municipal authorities. She has accumulated extensive experience with the event management agency she established in 2005. Mrs. Vancheva was the producer and manager of Karisma, a musical duet, and an imagemaker and conceptualist of various musical projects by singers Maria Ilieva, Kamelia Todorova, Mariana Popova, Orlin Goranov and many others. She graduated in Bulgarian Philology and Philosophy from Sofia University. She also completed a postgraduate program at the Centre for the Study of Democracy, Cambridge.

Jan Skvaril

Jan Skvaril has been Managing Director of Avendi since the end of 2009.

He has over 15 years of professional experience, 10 of which with the consulting company Deloitte. He worked in the Head office of Deloitte in the Czech Republic and later as Director of Management Consulting at Deloitte Bulgaria. He has successfully accomplished projects in business development and planning, business process reengineering, human resources management, and information technology selection and implementation. Jan Skvaril holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Finance from the University of Economics in Prague.
